The Princeton Review in 2008 ranked GW #6 out of American universities in the category of "Dorms Like Palaces". Because many of the residence halls on campus are renovated hotels or apartments, many students live in luxury at GW. It is often very pricey to find off-campus residence in DC, and so many upper class students stay on campus. Although the upper class housing might be luxurious, there is often a big difference between that housing and housing for freshmen or sophomores. Even amidst the excellent upperclass dorms, many students still prefer to seek off-campus housing. See a list of pages related to housing below.
